Goodbye my friend

How do I know if this is real
Do my fingers really miss your feel
Or am I just messed up in the head 
I wonder this every night as I lay in bed
I wish I knew what went wrong
And why I hear your name in every song 
Why every person I see
Is you staring back at me 
I'm sorry for pushing you away
I have but one more thing to say
Every good thing must come to an end
So goodbye my beloved friend.
