You

poem by: Dakota Iris

You.
You were my everything.
You were my light in the dark,
You took my heart and kissed every broken mark.
You fixed me up, painted over every spot.
Or so I thought.
You were a demon in a halo, a knife wrapped in lace.
You ripped my heart out, and left a cold stone in its place.
