Trapped

poem by: Rebecca Waller
Written on Oct 05, 2015

I was blind until I could see my pain,
No place to go, nothing to lose or gain.
Pictures in my mind still turn around & around,
My dreams always in the sky, my heart stomped into the ground.
Wasted tears and the feeling of dread,
Why can't I feel "normal" are the thoughts in my head.
I have always longed to be free, but the prison of this pain is holding me.
Is all this a lesson? When will I pass this test?
My strength is running out, I promise I'm doing my best!.
I feel like a time bomb waiting to explode, a volcano of lava that's overflowed.
This feeling has grabbed me and won't let go, I put a smile on my face and walk tall..no one will know.
I was blind until I could see my pain..if I close my eyes I have everything to gain.
