Higher Love

Lost in the sea of thoughts, I stumbled upon you. 
Filled with deep silence you stood before me, without a sound you spoke. 
Through your words I heard love, the purest form, without a limit, selfless and abundant. 
I tried to reach out to you, but you disappeared, I tried to find you, but you were nowhere to be found. 
I thought of you day and night, patiently waiting, seasons changed, the longing could not be contained.
In desperation I sought after you, each time, thinking it was near, each puzzle, thinking it was befitting, only to realize it was but a fleeting moment. 

No flame was as bright as yours, no scene as beautiful, and no word as profound and true. 
So I sat there, lost in my own thoughts again, hanging on to your memory. 
Each dialogue was that of you, in one deep breath, I sigh and let go of you, my mind became silent. 
My senses numb, my passion, gone, my longing, disappeared, yet the heart held on, tightly but gently, with a grasp ready to be opened at any moment, liberating. 

The mind filled with silence, I could now hear the thoughts of my heart. 
It was then I heard a whisper, it was you, beautiful and graceful, you told me you were there with me all along.
