Magnolia

Pure intentions of those soft white petals
Trusting every second of it's time
Strength in the very stem it bloomed from 
Knowing it couldn't be hurt by any
The fragrance drifted through the days 
It smelled of innocent love and happiness

This is how I describe you 

As beautiful as the flower given that day
With all of the meaning of it's gift
A fighter just like it too
No storm could break it apart 

You are as every bit amazing 

I'm reminded of it when I hold you 
I stare into your cool brown eyes 
Knowing we are gonna make it through
As pure as that flower is you
Nothing will wilt your petals 
Fighting every battle that comes your way

My son, I know we will be ok. 

You will keep blooming baby.
