Sounds like you lost some friends or people you cared about. It hurts to lose but sometimes it's the only way to grow and heal.Your true friends will be back in the spring.

We have a lot of different birds coming into our garden, and over the years I've managed to save a few who were shunned by the others. I can identify to this, I often wonder what goes through the poor little birds head. Well written

This is a great poem! Very deep and the hidden meaning is absolutely gut wrenching. I love this!

Yes this poor Bird did both give up not only on love but also on life. He can't soar the skies, and he slowly gives up, and lets fate settle in.
Those who have forsaken him will never be back and they are called 'fair weather friends," but in times of trials, hardships and adversities, they fade away off into the sunset.
Yes, when I had given up on both hope and life. I didn't know how to make friends and when I did I didn't keep them long. I never knew how to make them and many of them turned into my worse enemies.
What did I end up doing? I asked Jesus Christ, to remove all of them from my life.
And of course I wanted to also be removed from their lives. Toxic relationships and having a death wish because of them only leads to a dead end street going nowhere at all.
I think you should follow the advice of a previous user's comment. When I had no friends,
when nobody loved me, Jesus Christ did!
