Broken knob

My ears ring with the insults

Slashing happy thoughts

Destroying images I've created.

I try to keep them turned down.

I think the knob broke today.

Max volume!

Funny I thought I could be valued

That I can hold meaning.

No.

"You're gonna end up alone, no one can ever love you."

Yeah...

What was I thinking that someone could.

Silly me.

I need to fix this knob.

It's all too loud.

And I want to sleep.
