The King In the Forest

Once upon a time there was a big and majestic forest teeming with life
In the center of the forest was a giant tree with a crown
That was sure to make any king writhe in envy, and frown
There wasn't a single being in the forest that wouldn't look up upon the giant tree in awe and wonder
Indeed he was the king in the forest, and a content king he most definitely was, because he had all the friends a king could ever want for
Nothing lasts forever though, because one day humans came to fell the forest and use the space and resources for their own wants and need
But even the humans could not find it in their hearts to fell the giant and majestic tree
So they allowed it to stay where it was yet not freed
Sad and alone the giant tree was for many years to come
Because all his friends were gone
He had exactly no one
Year after year the giant tree would get more and more lonely and sad
Just as the giant tree thought things couldn't get any worse, an unrivaled storm appeared, trust me it was bad
The giant tree was scared, because even the longest roots in the world would have scarce the chance against a storm such as that
And so the inevitable happened
A violent lightning struck the giant tree and split it in two right where it's at
Straight
Down
The middle
Fortunately soon after the storm had passed
And surprisingly the giant tree was shaking with joy and fenn
Because now he finally had a friend again
