Locked Down

poem by: R.T. Aquinas
Written on Nov 03, 2020

Locked down, locked away.
When next will we see the light of day?
This growing darkness surrounds us
This nightmare is all around us

How long will we cope for;
How long can we survive?
How long can we hope for;
And keep ourselves alive?

Is there anybody out there
To watch over us?

Will it work, being locked away?
This time, will people obey?
Can anybody say
When this nightmare will end?

How will we cope;
How will we survive?
Is there purpose to hope;
What's the point of this life?

What's the point of it all?
