Winter

Cold wind makes my cheeks look red.

I shiver and huddle in my jacket.

I watch light snow fall all around me.

My sister walks beside me as we
walk from the car to the couch

We get to the couch and take our
stuff off and hang it by the door.

We leave our boots by our hanging coats and scarves and hats.

We put our gloves in our coats.

We put on warm pajamas and sit on the couch with some soup that our mom
gave us to eat for dinner.

We turned the tv to the HALLMARK channel and watch movie after movie of amazing winter classics, newer and older, and even some we haven’t seen.

My sister asks if I would like some cocoa with marshmallows to drink and some popcorn to snack on. I say yes.

It is snowing heavily now, good thing we’ve been inside for 7 hours.

She gives me my cocoa with mini marshmallow on top and sits down with hers and our large bowl of popcorn with chocolate drizzle.

“I love this time of year.”

“Me too. It’s just so perfect. Its Winter.”
