Your Words Don't Matter Anymore

poem by: R.T. Aquinas
Written on Mar 04, 2019

I can see your lips are moving
But that's all they're doing
Sounds are coming out
But there's nothing I can do about it

Your words, they don't matter any more
You know the score
You lied and you broke my heart
Again, and again, you drive us apart

You don't understand how much it hurts
Everything you said, it's now just words
And your words don't matter anymore
No, your words don't matter anymore

Your words don't matter now
If you want to know, ask yourself how
It ever even came to be
That when talking to me

I'm sorry, my dear,
But your words don't matter anymore.

I hope things improve for you, Rhys, that's a really sad poem. It brought a tear to my eye.
