Red Salvation

I will emerge, the day I die,
In mists of untold words,
My latest breath and final sigh,
Become my last of hurts.

Though if I'll stay, I do not know,
But I will never ever show,
My beat will slow, my heart will grow,
Cuz I can now let go.

So baby, if you ever should,
Find me in my pouring blood,
Let it pour and let it flow,
Cuz I, at last, will truly show,

Through thickening specks,
on my slit neck,
That red is my true color.

At every turn I thought I'd gain,
Some answers on my many prayers,
But all I ever got was pain,
My life was meant to not be lived.

The lively earth was my damnation,
I lived through utmost desperation,
But now I float on red salvation,
And I can say with dedication,

That all the cuts and all the pain,
Were surely not in vain.

So baby if you ever should,
Find me in my pooring blood,
Let it pour and let it flow,
Cuz you are gonna need to know,

When I dissolved and when my heart,
At last, has beat its final beat,
That this is surely the first time,
I really go to sleep.
