Oh Moon

poem by: Eden Button

Oh moon, how I miss thee
Your light no longer shines upon me
The world is blistering and bleary
For without you my heart is dreary
The moment I saw you flicker
I felt my heart beat quicker
I saw your moonlight shining bright
Bleed out so quickly into the night
And all I did was stand and stare
As my love faced her grand despair
And what a fool I was to try
To save you from a last goodbye
You’re gone now and the silence rings
Twisting in my head the silence sings
And rolls around my mind all day
Reminding me of how I stray
From you in each and every way
It’s chaos here that come to play
Goddamnit I miss you
