War

poem by: Taylor Hazel
Written on Jan 19, 2019

I fight.
The war in my head keeps raging.
I want it to stop.
When will it stop?

When you sit there crying.
No one notices.
It never helps.

The tears flow like rain.
Washing away everything but the pain.
I could scream,
look you in the eyes.

But you won’t see.
What it’s done to me.
This war.
The pure hatred of myself.

Please make it stop.
I just want it to stop.
So I can find peace.
I just want peace.
