Opposites Attract

poem by: R.T. Aquinas
Written on Nov 04, 2018

North to South and South to North
Birth to Death and Death to Birth
And that manner in which sisters attract brothers
But why so, when it is not so for others:
Water does not attract the Earth;
Nor is Peace attracted to Wars.

If everyone we were attracted to voted in different ways,
Nothing would get done: we'd be waiting days and days.
Every small difference in opinion would turn into a feud
And who would decide what was right and what was rude?

Opposites attract and likenesses repel
Well now, against that let's rebel.
Let us together, in unitary likeness,
Go forth and see through our blindess:
Order with Order: same to same
Why always must we have something to blame?

interesting poem Rhys......I don't really believe that opposites attract......unless you're a couple of magnets that fancy each other..........nice one..👍🏻
