The perfect sunset is the one we watched together
Where you didn’t have to call me
Where the buzz of my phone wouldn’t interrupt
Where I took in the sky
And you watched my eyes taking it in
And you told me that the color of the sky
Was nothing compared to the color of my eyes
The perfect sunset is the one we watched together
And the one where we concluded with the sunrise
The perfect sunset, I know realize, was never in the sky
But instead in the way we connected
