So she bowed to him

He smells like a thousand years done right,
Braiding through meadows in the dry after noon.
Like every flower petal came from his roots....
and they did.

He smells like the dirt at the bottom of a tree
Where for a thousand years it held the falling leaves
And they sighed into the ground like his breath does...

He seems like ocean spans and days in court
He seems like bicycles and a ripped shirt
He seems like dirty hands and strong fingers
The sense and the smell of him, seems to linger.

He seems like the whole of every thing i know
all tied up into one bathing in the sun
