Something Deep Inside....

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Aug 22, 2018

"From when I first set my eyes on you, my feelings intensified,..
an emotion I didn't know I had...something deep inside.
At just seventeen, living my life without a care...then I saw you Mary,
with those lovely blue eyes, and long dark brown hair.
Suddenly love was an emotion, that I found impossible to hide,
a strange thing was happening to me...something deep inside.
We'd meet at the weekend, every Friday to be exact,
I lived for those Fridays...and that's a lovely fact.
My constant yearning for you, just would not subside,
you changed my whole attitude...something deep inside.
Hope, and stability is what you lovingly gave to me,
my life was going nowhere, a future I couldn't honestly see,
the shackles holding me back, Mary you unknowingly untied,
I owe everything to you girl...from somewhere deep inside."
