An Old Letter to a Former Friend 2

poem by: R.T. Aquinas

There's a strange feeling inside of me
Whenever I am close to you.
Like magnets, we attract:
I am your South and you are my North
We are like a two-piece jigsaw.

When I'm with you,
I am in Paradise.
When I'm with you,
I feel at home.
For better or for worse,
Whether this is love or a curse,
I think I love you.
In fact I'm sure.
I do.

What say you Sweetheart?
If I offer you my pearl,
Will you be my girl?

Take my pearl,
I'll hold your hand girl.
Through all time,
I will love and cherish you.

Please accept that though I might not show it,
I live you and you know it.
You do.

What say you, Sweetheart?
May we unite flesh and soul.
And together may we grow old
Though never will I see you any different than you are today.
Please tell me, what do you say?
I'm holding out my hand.
Offering my pearl:
My invitation for you to come to Paradise.
Will you..?
