The busy, buzzy honey bee...

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on May 31, 2018

"As the daylight of a new day, dawns slowly on the hive,
the population awaken, and gradually come alive.
it's time to go to work, it's time to gather food,
It's a busy day ahead, making honey for their brood.
Off they go in their thousands, to gather pollen from every flower,
never stopping for a tea break, buzzing busily hour, by hour.
The lovely little honey bee always puts a smile upon my face,
without this amazing creature, there wouldn't be a human race,
no vegetation could prosper, plants wouldn't multiply, and grow,
the atmosphere wouldn't be the same....it's hard to believe, I know!
So never harm a busy, buzzy honey bee, just see him as a friend,
because if he didn't gather pollen.....I'm afraid it really is the end."
