SEMI-BOLD

poem by: Koapal
Written on Apr 30, 2018

Bold, semi-bold
and brave,
just a little brave.

They were here - on that sweet night.
There was a breeze,
but it was warm.
There were lights,
and noise, and people
and the darkness of the night.

Oh sweet, soft, dark night!
You held them close in your shadows,
then showed them light - just for a few moments,
and went back to the darkness again.

Now all there is - is love.
Love once lost
and never found.
Love that bursted into flames
but was taken away by the wind
as the ashes fell on the ground.

Here it is now.
Content and alone.
Resting under the vine
and watching the hikers walk by.

There still is bold - and brave.
There still is love,
there still is pain.
But he still is just semi-brave
and she still isn't bold enough.
So love is still resting,
under the vine
and watching the time go by.
