We aren't self made no more

Tell me how the fuck did we go from pin up to pin thin.
I mean are we really as fucked up as the world we are living in.
Where men and women are cut with surgical precision just for the hope that they could one day fit in.
Yet even then every magazine or video that people star in are heavily modified with their flaws taken away, to me the world we live in is botched, botched like the poor people that thought getting that filler will enhance their appearance but turned into the victim with a foreign liquid injected into their skin. For one day to find out they let a killer in.

So can we go back to the fifties, back to a time where people wore suits and beautiful dresses, to where you were judged by the person you are on the inside, not the skin we wear to get through our lives, the very thing that allows people's personalities to only be skin deep.
I understand this is just the ramblings of a person you may have never met but just take a step back and have a think about if it is you that just so happens to be caught in that net.
Like a fish following their friend, if their friend was the latest trend, following the medias idea of beauty and simply not being yourself for true beauty comes from deep within.
From the place that circulates your life force and the neural-centre of what makes you believe you are human.
