AWAKEN

poem by: Georgina Richardson

Come on love!
Please wake up.
It`s the start of spring,
And you know how you just love to hear the birds sing.
Oh but, come on love!
Please open your eyes.
You, are my precious little butterfly.
Please don`t leave me,
Please let this be untrue.
I can`t bear to think of my life, without you.
Come on love!
Wake up, there`s so much we haven`t done.
You know how you love, to see the setting sun.
We`ve never walked by a cliff top high,
Please love!
Don`t let that be your very last sigh.
Come on love!
There`s so much more we could do together.
We could see your poppies shine in the sun,
Or go for rambles in all kinds of weather.
Come on love!
Please! this is breaking me in two.
I don`t want to go home again,
If I have to, without you.
Come on love!
Lets go for a dance.
You know you always enjoy, a little romance.
Come on love!
There are words, I so regret!
I`m so sorry for them.
Lord please, don`t let my little butterfly be dead.
Please just be sleeping love,
On your sweet lips I can see a smile.
I`ll just lay here, and cuddle you for a while.
Let me get you a rug,
You`re feeling a bit cold today.
I`ll just lay here with you,
To keep the chill away.
Please let me stay, sir,
I`ll just hold her close.
I know this is my last chance,
I know her time has come.
Please sir, she is so, my precious one.
Oh I know I`ll have to let her go now.
She has a long journey without me, to start.
Please Lord,
Look after my little butterfly.
Oh, now I don`t know what I`m going to do!
Losing her has broken my heart.
Now the only thing I have to hold close to me,
Is her little gold wedding band,
She wore so gracefully.

I`LL ASK

poem by Georgina Richardson

I`ll ask the wind to sing a lullaby, To soothe your furrowed brow. I`ll ask the sun to shine on you, To heal your heart right now. I`ll ask the stars to light your way, I`ll ask the moon to shine clear. I`ll ask the snow to spar... Read more
