Brings back many memories, makes one wonder if it's the kids or the parents who get more out of this once a year tradition, children are certainly hard to please. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this creative, well written poem...well done.

Thanks so much Cecilia, so glad you like it. What I was trying to achieve here was to show parents that its the simple things in life that kids still enjoy the most. Toys are always discarded when there's a pet to replace them. Some of my children's best memories are of time spent with us and their pets.

Nice, I like the tangible wish list, video games, clothes but the dog is priceless. Nothing can compare to an unconditional love of a Snoopy. I wish for a human being to enter my life with unconditional "Snoopy" love. I have asked Santa, the Easter bunny and even the Tooth Fairy...No luck.....write on
