The Connection

poem by: Alex Freat

I gazed at the empty darkness.
The siloughette of the tall distant tree, guarded by the blacked out houses and barren streets staring back at me.
We were locked into one another.
Standing from the only lit place just outside my front door I caught myself listening to the empty sound of the night as I'm taken into its Eiree surronding.
The emptiness.
But the fear of the corner just inches away from me, not knowing what could be lurking on the other side!
Fear rushes through every inch of my body...but somehow it feels right...beautiful maybe.
I know for a fact there is nothing there but I'm still soo happy.
