The spider

poem by: Ada Phillips
Written on Jan 03, 2017

A great big hairy monster,
His eight legs spread out wide,
I looked at it and screamed,
And ran away to hide.

I ran around in circles,
I didn't know what to do,
I didn't dare enter the bathroom,
I couldn't go to the loo.

I ran to my next door neighbour,
Who was just about to dine,
I told her, it's an emergency,
Help me please, call 999.

The firemen, Police and Ambulance,
Came rushing up my path,
And a big, friendly Fireman,
Took the Spider from my bath.
