Confusion

Restlessness and anxiety swarm across my being
Searching, seeking, answers to unasked questions.

Darkness comes early
Answers never arrive.

Life exists in questions
Never asked, never answered.

Questions are strewn across my life
Much like my empty whiskey bottles.

Thrown into a heap that
Is, perhaps, my life at this moment.

I am happy and exalted,
I am puzzled and uncertain

I am a life, I love,
I live and breathe

Yet I am lost
And confused.

In a sea that never
Ceases to move.

I look for firm ground
It can't be found

Yet I go on
I will never stop.
