Minute by minute

Minute by minute

Minute by minute
Hour by hour
Day by day
Week by week
Sliding into months, years,
An eternity.

An endless procession of time for a life never lived.
Existing only in the fading dreams of that
Which never occurred.

Dreams left to molder in unfulfilled desires
Of closeness and tenderness
Slowly frozen and hardened to stone by time, distance, and
Faded memories.

This is how life is lived for lost souls, left to wander aimlessly in the barrens of
Lost loves and shattered dreams.
In the dusk of an existence that will soon be forgotten to
Hazy memories of a life and love that never
Happened.
