The wish

poem by: Gemma Morgan
Written on Nov 07, 2016

As I knelt at my window
Wishing on a star
That night you really felt so far
I could only see the back of your head
I wish you were mine
I thought
I said
Those were likely lonely times
A dreamers mind
Never imagined you I'd find
9 years were to pass
Before I glimpsed you through the glass
Now all my dreams have come true
Waiting
Wondering
Finally I knew
That when you wish on a star
Your dreams are never really far.
