Deaf Ears

I tried to tell you how I felt,
You rolled your eyes and tightened your belt.
I tried again,you gave a frustrated sigh,
You fixed your tie and said goodbye.
I sat on the bed and started to cry,
Maybe he thinks it's all a lie.

I think I'm having a relapse again,
I can't cope with these scary thoughts,
And torturous pain.
I feel scared,lonely and don't have a friend,
I can't carry on,this misery must end.
I tried to tell you,it's driving me insane,
It fell on deaf ears, and didn't register in your brain.

Listening is a form of art,
Listen well with an open heart.
When you talk, you repeat what you know.
But when you listen, you may just learn and grow.
