Her Beauty

poem by: Kevin Blacker
Written on Jul 23, 2016

Silky trails of concluded passion
her perfume immersed in cloth
dreamy visions dwell in my memory
so that her illusion is never lost.

Should the lord confiscate my sight
and darkness takes its hold on me
her beauty will forever remain
etched flawlessly in memory.

Prominent be her brown eyes
speckled delight her featured face
an abundance of exquisite freckles
each one arranged in perfect place.

With her teeth set so gracious
a gleam upon her special grin
hair of golden brown draped sinuously
against a backdrop of velvet skin.

To portray her vision in words of truth
the languages of the world may never contain
the words that capture her allure
yet I convene and try in vain.

Cool poem with good imagery. Good job making the reader actually feel the emotion of your words.
