Crown of Thorns

poem by: Aimee Woolford
Written on Jun 11, 2016

Crown Of Thorns, sounds Messianic.
But have you heard the truth,
Beliefs. All it is.
Lies are concocted to make you believe that they are Truth,
But Truth paints her face pale white,
Blood red lips to kiss away your sanity.
Wave goodbye if you step into the building, songs
Sung to manipulate the non-manipulative.
Swat at them like infectious bees, they don’t leave.
Believe me. I’ve tried every method in the Book.
“Is this ironic?” flirted Fate. “No,” said Coincidence.
“This was clearly meant to be!”
