Ocean-Blue Eyes

poem by: Matt Erxleben
Written on Mar 15, 2012

Like white waves crashing on a restless sea
Beautiful blue as sky in Summer's day
You're eyes appear so wonderful to me
And marvel me in so many a way

Oh how they sparkle as finest crystal
Or glisten softly like moon-touched sands
Just a single glance can leave me blissful
Wishing to hold you gently in my hands

Though separated by quite some distance
In my mind's eye you do often appear
The beauty I see leaves me in a trance
When I dream of your eyes I have no fear

No picture has better captured the skies
Than looking in to your ocean-blue eyes

Dude, that was a great poem. I married a girl with blue eyes because I love how serene blue eyes look. Your poem really communicated how a girl's blue eyes assure you of trust. I think you communicated it really well. Great adjectives and word choice too.

Excellent words deep and understandable
