The Hanging Tree

poem by: Caitlin Chamberlain
Written on Oct 10, 2015

At dark they came to play,

And I very quickly agree,

I was alone,

Just by that hanging tree.

Nothing occurred for a few minutes,

So, I had some time to think,

To think about why exactly I was,

Just by that hanging tree.

My thoughts wondered,

Some left behind,

But, I came to realise,

That he was looking at me that whole time.

Not infront of me,

But, swinging,

From that hanging tree,

Right infront of my eyes.
