Unwanted Valentine

poem by: Julius Brian Cruz
Written on Jul 19, 2015

Looking at the round moon, I think of you again.
I wish to see you soon, how your heart became open.
A beautiful afternoon, where miracles did happen.
Now I offer a rune, serenade your night solemn

Though it turned imperfect, still you left with a pretty smile.
The thing I failed to protect, as we hugged there both for a while.
Like the stars I’m glancing, it reminds me of your eyes.
It felt like I’m dreaming, too busy making our ties.

Our precious confession, in my mind i'll always treasure.
Yet without connection, ended up in each other’s capture
You made me smile that day, so thank you for everything.
This is all I’m going to say, hope this poem would be worth something.
