Sleepy hollow

poem by: Derek Vincent
Written on Apr 02, 2015

I closed my eys and realized;
all of my life; you took for granted.
While I'm dead asleep in bed;
slaughtered my soul; fed off the pain.
Everything you took; you took in disdain.
You stole my heart and breath away;
with mind and body; your life I shall slay.
I shall strike in the dead of night.
At sunrise; no one can change our plight.
By then it'll be too late;
for love and death; this shall be our fate.
