You know I would stay if it felt right
If you really showed me that you cared
By physically being there
Not just words, not just empty promises
I would have been there
But you failed to show me
Like many others before you
I know the game and I know the drill
I definitely recognise the signs by now
And you we were giving me the signs
I learnt so many lessons that this time
I stood there like an unwavering tree
I stood strongly in my boundaries
New ones
Learnt ones from my experiences
And for that I am proud!
