do not speak to us of sacrifice
for we are the ones
who laugh, weep, strive
with the little ones

we feel their pain
their struggles
we move forward

you are adorned with laurels
enthroned
in your cozy
little kingdom

we are teachers
we are the ones who bleed
with them.
