A little boy...

"There he was, a little boy and his young mum...
abandoned by his father...not knowing what was to come...
Sharing a house with his cousins...but it wasn't his home...
playing in the cobblestone streets...with a freedom to roam...
Life was just fun, and games ....for this innocent young boy...
with no dad to chastise him...living was sheer joy...
Until one cold December...but never explained why...
to a strange place he was taken...where often he'd cry..
Separated from his little brother...as they entered the big door...
"I'm only seven...what am I here for?"...
"Have I been naughty?..is that why I'm here?"...
I cried myself to sleep...pillow wet with my tears..
In a dormitory full of children...crying I always heard...
I just wanted my mum...I really was so scared...
then after Ten nights it was all over...like the end of a nightmare...
I'd been living in an orphanage...in temporary care..
at last back home with my mother...and wow!..a new baby brother!"
