YOUR LAUGH...

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Aug 22, 2022

"I still hear your lovely voice...every now, and then...
whispering quietly in my ear...time, and time again...
I keep thinking that I'm mistaken...but your words are so very clear...
calling out my name mum,...makes me feel that you are near...
I try so hard to remember you....with a broad smile upon your face...
I close my eyes, and lovingly picture you...happy in that "other place"...
It's been Oh, so very long...so why do I still need you here?...
because childhood memories of being with you...always leaves me with a tear...
I try to recall the sound of your laugh...as I know it made me laugh too...
because mum, that's how I forever...want to remember you."
