Christmas Rhyme

Merry Christmas to all you kids out there young and old

It has just turned Christmas and I can't sleep,
so from my bedroom window, I have a peek
should I watch for Santa or stay in bed
will I see Rudolph with his nose so red
I know he has tons of work to do
delivering present fo me and you
My eyes are tired I need to sleep
but I am determined to stay here and peep
I want to see the man in red before I climb back into bed
I hear a sound, is he here? But with eyes wide open I see mummy dear
Santa came whilst you were sleeping he waited 'til your eyes stopped peeping
I gave him your pie and glass of wine
He said to tell you they were both divine
Mummy, I said, I closed my eyes
just for a second but that wasn't wise.
She replied "can you see
what Santa's left for you and me?"
She said when you're older with children around
you will hear the joyful sound
Of Ho ho ho have a wonderful time
and thank you for the mince pie and wine
so enjoy your Christmas and have no fear
Maybe you will see me come next year
