GOOD afternoon

GOOD afternoon
When I walk around our garden
It's not like the 'Eden', Flowers need deadheading
and the roses need feeding
The grass is so tall, it needs a good cut,
so I think to myself "Right"
and head straight to my hut
I get spade, fork, and hose
and leave them by the wall,
but I'm beginning to think it doesn't look bad at all
The sun is blazing, the birds are in song,
I may do it later, it shouldn't take long,
I sit down and ponder where it ends and begins,
to make things a little easier, I grab a few tins,
Straight from the fridge... Hmm, liquid gold,
and a couple of hours later,
I'm convinced I'm too old,
Through drowsy eyes the garden
looks like a tip,
Well.... I can do it all tomorrow,
I think I will just have a kip! ZZzzz
