The Rain

poem by: Keith Jepson

Hey, did you hear the rain last night?
It chucked some stuff down aint that right?
Window open rain came in,
soaked the curtains and everything,
You've got to laugh or you would cry
so turned on the 'rads' to help things dry,
Went back to sleep rain still pouring
arose before the day was dawning,
I still heard the rain lashing down
then on my face came a frown,
did I shut the window tight?
the monsoon-like rain came down all night,
The answer is no as you may have guessed
Oh my god what a bloody mess,
The rain poured in more and more soaking everything and the floor
not to worry we will get by
yep,you have to laugh or you would cry
