Hope

“Hope”

There’s hope.
Hope I find most in madness
It speaks to me most, that is why.

When I hear madmen speak, I’m at home.
It’s a familiar stench and warmth
It brings me closest to the light.

Be thankful for madmen.
For the drunks, seeking light.
For the junkies, seeking light.

Wet your tongue with it.
Drop it into your ear.
Let it ear your brain, it is no good anyways.
The light is what matters, not the brain.

Light is shown brightest after looney bins.
After everyone’s snored for hours.
After my wife is dead.
After the children are dead.
This is when I awaken.

Under a snakes rattle, under a rock.
Found, then lost in the desert.
Boots were made.
Warm coats were made from seals and other pretty things.
Let us not get cold.
Because we are human.
We must be the most important beings in the universe.
