Leasle
I was in the darkness, when you found me
I was alone and feeling down,
it was cold and damp and the darkness surrounded me
And then she sat down,
She was across the table from me at a college cafe, so ready to be seen...
It was her posture...
I sat dreaming, and thinking how could a woman like this, so beautiful and proper,
be laughing at my little jokes, they felt like the mumblings of a pauper.
But she did... And I missed my class.
A worthy sacrifice! One so fit to make for a queen. A goddess among mortals sat across from me,
I just had to stay,
I just had to see.
She was the light, it was so clearly seen
She was a way for me to escape the darkness, the shadow that was over me.
The fire inside her that burned so bright was so easily seen in the middle of my plight.
The fuel was there, so ready to burn, an orchestra of emotions began to play in turn...
As she walked away.
I just had to see her again, I just had to,
so I sprang to my feet, thinking "It's now or never, I can't let her go and lose her forever"
And how did I get her? such a perfect catch. The way anyone else ignites a flame...
I lit a match.
