A Gentle Hand

poem by: D'Vina Dietrich
Written on Oct 01, 2017

A gentle hand
Once wiped my tears...
It was so soft,
Loving and comforting.
I long for that touch..
My tears now run.
Splattering on this page,
No hand to stop them...
My comfort is gone
I need you Mom.

A gentle hand
Will never return.
My heart aches for
That loving touch.
A Mothers hand
Cannot be replaced.
I just want it back..
But truth is....
It's buried in the dirt.
Alone, I deal with hurt.

A gentle hand
That's all I want.
Only you understood
And cared..
It's tough without you
Everything is different.
Mom I miss you..
I hate this so much!
Mom why'd you go...
And leave me.. Alone.

Bird
