my dad

poem by: Julie Cook
Written on Jul 03, 2013

washing is done, tidy the house
kids off to school, quiet as a mouse
dinner is done, time to sit down
but in he walks, face with a frown

"make me a cuppa, feed me as well"
hate him so much, just go to hell
hes back off to work, kids in from school
feed them and bath them, everything is cool

nine at night, the time i dread
hes come back, he wants me in bed
touching and kissing, leave me alone
takes no notice, he just has a grone

releaving himself, the dead is done
god i feel dirty ,leave me alone
hes gone back to work, peace at last
bathed and in bed, put in the past

keep our little secret, no one to know
i so want to die, i so want to go
dont tell no one, keep it well hid
DAD was so scared , coz i was his kid

Julie, that is such a sad poem. It is a grim reality for many though. Your poem really captures the internal strife that a victim of molestation goes through.
