WET SOCKS

You treat my feelings like wet socks. I mean just follow me here with this analogy. You're taking a walk down the street taking in the smells and sights after a fresh spring rain. There's a warm chill you get from the peeking sun coming through from behind a storm cloud as its slowly dissipating in plain sight. Your mind is thinking about the way ur life is going and ur recognizing the changes that are taking place in ur personal life. You're excited to explore all the newness of the joy u feel. Its been a long time coming. This feeling that u have is familiar but oh so hard to gain and maintain. Because trust is needed to obtain. As ur mind wanders a melody is coming to memory that u know from yesteryear when all was calm. It brings a smile to ur face all the while ur noticing a cardinal flying overhead as it decides to land on a bush not far from sight. The beauty that u see makes it impossible to see the great big puddle directly within your very next step. So quietly as this leisurely stroll was taking u to a comfortable place in mind. U take a unforgiving step right into the deepest water hole that can ever be imagined. SPLASH! There went the beauty that u seen then pissed as u scream. DAMN IT! These socks are all soggy and now must be changed. Upset that ur shoe is now gonna take forever to dry. Even though the socks u have on are ur special warm cozy socks u just bought. U forget and buy a new pair throwing them away. Its a sad story but they are just socks, there's always more at the corner store. They served their purpose. Now its just a thing. Tomorrow the memory of them will be replaced. It was a pop-up storm and you're sure there will be many more puddles. Don't worry its just a story that has happened before. Besides that's why u always buy a bag that has a pair of two or more.
