Ddu Anza wanted five children, but he did not realise the strain it put on me.

First, we had a boy whom we named Ensta. He is becoming a physician.
Then, we had a girl whom we named Maergan. She is becoming a teacher.
Third, we had another boy whom we named Iestu. He is still young.

It was after Iestu was born that I told Ddu Anza I wanted no more children.
I told him a woman's body is her own to do with as she pleases
It is not to serve the whims and pleasures of her husband if she does not wish it to.
He argued, he said to have just one more.

He made me pregnant,
But I went behind his back to execute this fourth child.
I spoke with the Queen and with the physicians,
They said I should do what I felt was right.

He must have found out, and he must have cursed me, because he cut off the tips of my longest toes before he made me pregnant a fifth time.
But this time I gave birth to a jikal, whom we named Veldom.

It was soon after Veldom's birth that Ddu Anza divorced me.
However, that didn't matter as I had found a beautiful woman, Gurkap, whom I could marry instead.
