What ive found out

poem by: Andrew Dietrich

You mistake my words
Typing isn't the same as being heard
When I say what I've found out i mean about myself and you
Our story and our words on OUR past
Finding out what you meant by words
You said to ME and words I said to YOU
Not what I've found out about your past
What I found out about things you've said to ME in OUR past
I reflect and realize the words she said this day and that day is what she meant
Do you understand? It wasn't for you to resent. The only thing I'm digging is my own mind on our old conversations. I'm looking at your words as someone who has lost you. And not someone who was afraid of losing you. That's all I meant......you can't extinguish our flame. Our flame was built on can't stop wont stop.
